Drama as a method to increase creativity and lifelong learning in different work places

As long as theatre education has not the equal status with other school subjects in curriculum, we should include drama into all adults’ in-service training to give them a possibility to develop their creativity, social skills and understanding of different personalities and cultures.  Based on the person’s own experiences, expression and social interaction, drama teaches one how to evaluate, criticise and deeply understand information and knowledge, given by colleagues, media and other sources.

The substance of drama also includes conflicts of different people with different opinions and how we can deepen the understanding and study the reasons and follow up on them. Therefore, engaging in drama and theatre is also a very effective tool in peace education and in promoting interaction in multicultural society. And above all – it is (people) working together!
That’s why the aim of IDEA is to get drama/theatre education for all children and young people, too.

The rapid changes – fusions and other organisational new statements of profit and loss- are globally today one of the main demands for workers flexibility. I have had drama workshops for years in all kinds of work places to help personnel in the new situation to create such a cooperative culture - where every individual is taken as valuable colleague and not as a threat or a burden on business.

It is no more time to handle arts as an isolated, separate sector in the circle of human life but to take them as a basic, unique but universal element among other necessities in the life.
